Here is a URL for a talk I have a couple of years ago.  Slides 17 and 18
have performance numbers.  I don't have mksh since I wasn't familiar with
it then.  I can get you the tests if you want to run them.

This was ksh93s+.  The current version is ksh93u and a type system was
added in ksh93t.
