getconf HOSTTYPE is broken too on Solaris 11 with 64bit AMD63 builds. getconf returns HOSTTYPE=sol11.i386, but is built in ./arch/sol11.i386-64/bin. This causes tests depending on HOSTTYPE to find extra tools like pty or msggen to fail.
