The best way to deal with such a thing is to IGNORE it. IE: Don't respond. The user will eventually re-post under their own thread. You jumped in on his thread with a new subject, which is really not very good manners. It also lowers the chance of getting an answer. I'm making the note here in public as I've noticed that it's far too common. If you don't want to retype the email address, which I find is the most common reason, then simply right click on the list address and select New Email.
