I don't think that the Trixter is on crack, but I do think we're mixing
apples and oranges. Or in this case, access and egress.
CLECs definitely receive access charges. The IXC pays the CLEC (or ILEC)
when a call is delivered from the subscriber to the IXC.
On the other end, when the call is delivered from that IXC to the (C)LEC
for termination, that's called Egress, and it's usually negotiated out of
most contracts since it's such a small amount.
I contract to a CLEC. Their regulatory folks state that egress is no longer
viable.
I wonder why Stanaphone and IPKall are still giving out free DIDs?
