China, home of the most people (I think), has the fewest actual phone lines because they never ran that many in the more rural areas. The cellular phone is allowing them to leap-frog analog phone technology in a lot of places. And many countries are in that same situation. Just out of curiosity, what's the "business direction" you're seeking?
