The HiPath 3550 will need a HG1500 or a HXGS card to do H323 and it cost an arm and a leg. The resons I am going this direction is that the BRI are already included as default when you buy the system. Why pay extra when you have it already?

Subject: [Asterisk-biz] Fritz!Card PnP installation on FC3

Hi

Is there anyone out there have installed this card on Fedora Core 3 and asterisk sucessfully? I like to install it and interface it to an exisiting Siemens HiPath 3550 PABX which comes with 2 BRI channels on the CPU motherboard. I think this will be best solution to interface the system with Asterisk compared to using a ATA FXS or FXO solutions.

Stephen
