*what is this*
AstManager is a manager application for asterisk Mysql realtime, works
with 1.2.0 X and CVS HEAD.. (sorry no 1.0.9).. Is build in c# so we have
access to a little more power and tools than the usually implementations.
We tweak a little the /MYSQL /tables to allow us to save more
information than usually asterisk only keep for himself but that he
populate throw the manager application, open the door for futures
implementations like predictive dialing, agents applications,desktop
applications, PLUG AND DIAL. we are using this for our SPA 841 network
integrating the mac of the phone and the accountcode for the bootp process.
Our manager application works with or without a asterisk manager proxy..
but we strongly recommend use a proxy... we tried in a busy call center
with 330 phones with remarkables results using astmanproxy and works
like a champ...
*Features.*
This application allows to set a multitenant Hosted PBX, n tenants were
every tenant controls his peers, routings (dial-plan), queues, and queue
members, activity, and soon agents....as far i found a agent channel
that support it.... i use my own but is not in the asterisk cvs repository.
So basically allows to set.
Sip Peers - agents
CDR
Queues
QueueMembers
DialPlan
and monitor the peers, queues, and the activity in the server.
the License system allows to create custom pbxs like PBX limited to 4 -
8 - 12 -24 or unlimited peers, this way.. the General manager can create
pbxs for his tenant limiting or not the numbers of peers. So u can
deliver to your customer a custom pbx standalone or a colocate server
with a simple software...that will allow the guy to monitor, or setup
the entire pbx.. without mess with the rest of the tenants... in a 100%
asterisk solution.
Imagine a soekris with a realtime version of ASTLINUX and a CD ... this
cd will allow the owner of the new buyed PBX to manager that WITHOUT
almost any knowlodge of asterisk... :) so basically you have a small
plug and play PBX
*why not web? *
The manager with astmanproxy generate less overhead than a busy http
server with php, perl o java. and allows to do REALTIME monitoring...
you can see who is talking, to WHO, activity in the server...
Also this allow to create retails PBX....how many of us.. dream with be
able to sell our asterisk pbx in best buy :D ... just kidding...
by the way.. i also try this in a small version for 24 ppl in a soekris
card with gentoo and asterisk realtime there...is amazing how well the
soekris manage the mysql in a 10-20 calls enviroment without transcoding..
*Availability..*
We plan to do a dual license scheme like digium..
A first free limited version standalone version ... no sure how many
peers...i am generating this one. and the .lic for this .. as soon i
finish the basic documentation for installation and operation.
and a comercial version with all the nice features.. and the license
system....the prices will come in my next message.
so if you obtain the unlimited peer multitenant version you will be able
to create single tenants licenses for your customers, or even
standarlone versions...
*Development Road Map..*
in actual development....and not necesary in that order.
1) Visual IVR tool for asterisk that will be integrated in this
application <--- already started...
2) realtime BILLING.
3) Agent Application.
4) predictive dialing
5) monitor IAX peers
6) Add Recording, monitoring, coaching..Without use a webserver for the
recordings...
