Subject: [Asterisk-biz] D-Link DVX-1000
I guess it was inevitable:
http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=2&pid=450
Dual ARM processors. Nice!
One should read closely though with regard to the statement: "Supports
25 Simultaneous Inbound/Outbound Calls"
If you read the Data Sheet it goes on to say:
"Up to 25 Extensions (5 Included)" and that "Additional extensions are
added via license codes that are obtained via your reseller or directly
from D-Link."
The D-Link brand will resonate with SOHO buyers for sure. If you want to
interface with the PSTN they suggest using their PSTN-SIP Gateway (the
DVG-3004S) in conjunction with the DVX-1000. In my mind if you want to
interface with the PSTN the DVX-1000 value proposition becomes seriously
diluted.
What do you guys (and gals) think?
Regards
