the listed domain contact they have the confirmation URL.

I order ssl certs and do other things a lot with customer permission to
view the mail and follow the confirmation links. I manage servers for
customers so it would be easy to do it with or without permission.

Consider me old-fashioned but I still use things like voice calls to
verify anything important.
