Hi guys.

I totally agree. It prevent technology from spreading to the masses and keep citizens starving for broader communications services.

I do think we have to look at it from a positive point of view. Last month it was totally illegal. Now by putting up $ 184,671 and put 50% in a bond you can start a VOIP business. Not a lot of money in the telecoms industry.

This is progress and will promote more competition. Not as much as we all want, but it will mature the industry a bit and it will give the monopolistic institutions time to adjust. Remember it is not that long sine the US and Europe had monopolistic telecoms institutions to. Some countries are now following and we have to give them time to adjust.

I don't support it. I am just trying to understand their thinking. I do have business in the Philippines and have been there many times so i am qualified to have opinions.

The world of telecom is changing fast. Not everybody likes it but nobody can stop it.
