HUD stands for Head's Up Display, (it's also the military acronym for the technology that pilots use). As far as realtime... It provides a realtime view of the activity on the phone system. You can see who is on the phone, and who they are talking to, you can also, monitor the call, barge into the call, take over the call, or record the call.
