Although I am not an attorney, I think I can safely and accurately say that a Trade Mark does not stop one from manufacturing a "like" or identical product. That is the role of a Patent.

A trade Mark is protection of a Name Such as Mc Donalds, or Coca Cola. Pepsi can Make a Cola exactly like Coca Cola, unless there is a patent on the Recipie. The trademark means that Pepsi Can not call that product Coca Cola.

The trademark protects our name. It doesn't stop anyone from
building a similar device but it would give us some legal remedy
if you called it a VS-1. Maybe Bret can give Manny the quick
    rundown on trademark law?

You can copy the box but you still won't have a VS-1. A big part
of what makes a VS-1 is the software in it and the company that
    stands behind it.

BTW, We don't use AMP and we don't use Astlinux. -Mike

        least Xorcom call it TS-1

        china…mass produce it…uhmmm, tenting…jajajajaj
