why not take it a step further and just say that its wrong for anyone to
charge money for anything and instead we should all give everything away
free.  That way we can form a hippie commune :)

There are providers that give some service at least free, and some that
even pay you to use them, such as www.trxtel.com which wil pay people to
terminate US tollfree traffic via their networks (imagine a billing
dispute under that model!) and are planning on offering free DIDs soon
(probably 2-3 months).

btw while I do comment on services and providers that I am not
affiliated with and disclaim non-affiliation, I feel its only fair this
time to say I am affiliated with trxtel.
