I am looking for a source for inexpensive compact 2U rack mounted servers with redundant PSU suitable for Asterisk. Everything I look at is 26" deep, which is very cumbersome. CPU power is not a big concern and I would consider used machines. Any info? We're looking to purchase quite a few servers coming up here. My research has also involved redundant power and gear that meets the NEB specs. Either a 1 or 2U system with redundant power is going to usually be a proprietary motherboard and case setup. We've got a few suppliers that we've RFQ and should get some very good pricing. In terms of something more compact than 26" I don't think you're going to find it. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) Anyhow, more than willing to pass along what I've researched and also the more that would like to purchase the better deal we'll all get.. (btw.. Our purchasing cut-off will be the end of the week for this round and no we will not resell, but can provide pass through savings.) Cheers, C. |
