Sean,

G711u/a takes up 64kbps theoretically, but practically goes to about 80kbps.
so 2,000/64 = (theoritical) answer and 2,000/80 = (practical answer)

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Is there a simple answer to how many simultaneous calls you could
comfortably run on a 2Mb SDSL connection with 1:1 contention using one
of the common codecs such as G711u/a

Thanks,
