Actually, VMWare is generally good, one reason why it's so popular. Is
anyone running Asterisk in a VMWare cluster that's working well when
pausing instances and sending them across the LAN? Across a WAN? Using
nothing but SIP, or using ZAP HW?
I've tried to use Asterisk on VMWare without much success. I had a FreeBSD (32 bit) installed on a virtual 32 bits machine which was itself running on a 64 bits proc. It would handle 4-5 simultaneous calls but then hang all the channels apruptly.

Also one thing that was strange is that it was showing a 130ms ping to a host that in fact had 200+ ms from the "real" machine. That can't be good :)

Cheers,
Jean-Michel.
