As this is a commercial product please reply with any questions you have to the [email protected] list.

I’m posting it here as not everyone will be at the Astricon launch on Tuesday and I wanted to give everyone a chance to ask any questions they might have.

This will be the one and only product announcement email about this product.

DALLAS, Texas, 24 October 2006:

Mexuar Launches the Mexuar Corraleta Technology SDK
for
seamless VoIP development of

“Click-to-Talk” applications

New Java-based solution delivers browser- and platform-neutral,

free IP call capabilities for commercial websites

Astricon USA 2006, Dallas:  booth 118

Mexuar Communications is today launching the Corraleta Technology SDK™, an innovative new solution that enables rapid development and deployment of VoIP click-to-talk applications for online businesses.

The Corraleta Technology SDK™ enables deployment of click-to-talk functionality on the website of any size of business.  With this feature, any website visitor can use their web browser and PC to make free calls and talk with sales or support staff in the company’s contact centre.

The Corraleta Technology SDK™ takes users from a web page to a VoIP call with a live customer service agent within 10 seconds.  These calls are pure IP from the web browser to the customer contact centre PBX and are free, irrespective of the location of the caller or contact centre.

The Corraleta-developed application can be used to initiate port 4569 IAX calls to the contact centre via a button on a web page using just their headset and microphone, or can trigger a callback from the contact centre to the user’s chosen telephone.  Application examples include sales and support services for online merchants; emails embedded with click to call functionality; and pay-per-call online banner advertising

The Corraleta Technology SDK™ uses Java to deliver VoIP across multiple browsers and 3rd party white label applications, providing tight, platform-agnostic integration between traditional phone systems and core business applications, whether on the company internal network or on the Web.  This contrasts with rival solutions that use ActiveX and work only with Windows platforms and the Internet Explorer browser.

So what does all this mean in plain language;

Mexuar in the UK is launching a commercial product called Mexuar Corraleta Technical SDK

http://www.mexuar.com/products_sdk.shtml

The SDK will enable Asterisk installers to configure Asterisk to accept IAX calls from any webpage using any browser with Java 1.4 and above

http://www.mexuar.com/downloads/Level1Products/CorraletaSDKBrochure.pdf

There is no client or configuration required by the website viewer, it’s Click to Call in 10 seconds or less.

Flash video demo is available here http://www.mexuar.com/downloads/Level1Products/CorraletaDemoSound.swf

Should the website viewer not have a headset or mic a “two legged outbound call” can be initiated. (eg like “Google ads”)

Why do I care?

Click to call from a web page, Click to call from an email, Click to call from a banner are all going to be very big business over the next 12 months.
With the development of Mexuar Corraleta by Tim Panton the Asterisk system integrator community has a real chance to make some big sales to companies looking to implement these solutions.

Using Asterisk is the only way we know of today to implement Java based Click to call, eStara, Talisman and Busta use Active-X. We as a community have a real advantage here for a short window.

How is the Mexuar Corraleta SDK licensed?

Mexuar have a real simple model;

  • 1 license per asterisk server regardless of throughput – we don’t care if it is a Quad Xeon or a P3.
  • No ongoing fees or maintenance charges.
  • License is tied to the external IP address of the Asterisk server.
  • Same license fee regardless of single company use or if you are offering a hosted ASP service.
  • License fees can only be bought from www.Mexuar.com and are $US2,000 per server (credit card or wire transfer only)

Can I demo this today?

Sure go to either of the following pages to try it with a 24x7 automated recording today;

How do I make money from this?

  • You can now go back to your existing Asterisk customers and upsell them on the benefits of browser to call center Click to call connectivity.

       By installing a Mexuar license for whatever fee you choose and charge them for the implementation of this functionality.

  • Use the Click to call functionality to outsell your Ayava/Nec/Nortel/Cisco competition.

  • Build a hosted solution and offer this to smaller customers who do not have the requirements for their own Mexuar Corraleta installation.
  • Build a 3rd party white label application using the Mexuar Corraleta SDK as the underlying technology.

I hope this is of interest to the Asterisk community, I know from talking and demonstrating this technology to our Beta customers over the past 3 months that end customers are very excited.

Please respect that this is a commercial product and reply with your questions to the [email protected]
