We are working up to that. Since we're in process of deploying VoIP servers
and getting our own ISP up, I'd expect to be built up to 24/7/365 within 12
months, even if I have to personally staff the odd hours.

Weeks back I posted something about vonage(retail) being the only
provider so far that I gotten any after hours support from. I asked if
anybody could add to the list. I want DID's that can be used in
products/services that I sell to the general public. That means 24/7
support. Without 24/7 support I consider a DID to be usable for hobby
and development needs only.
I have asked a few of the largest other providers(who are well known on
these lists) about 24/7. The response is something about several people
"usually" monitor the ticket system from home. That is not good enough.
24/7 means you always have somebody on duty. Sometimes I wake up in the
middle of the night and want milk and cookies. I "usually" check email
while I enjoy that. I don't tell people that I have 24/7 support because
of that.
It reminds me of rebranded "virtual ISP" companies in the past. The
actual provider had 24/7 support but the end user had to go through some
middleman that sold him the dialup service. If the middleman you buy
from only works bankers hours, you might be without service an entire
weekend although the provider has 24/7 support staff. I think we get the
same kind of deal from some of these voip resellers of resellers.

I'm sure we all fit in-between the two cases you just posed: Vonage
and hobby, yet you have to be almost Vonage size to have any real
bargaining power with the LECs. That is where resellers and services
like DIDX come in to play.

I refuse to use DIDx because of the way they want me to allocate
numbers to them and how everything needs to route through them. I
want to go straight to the source for my routes and numbers. DIDx is
great if you are trying to run a hobby VoIP service... or maybe even a
small PBX for a small company, but you can't honestly tell me that any
large corporation would trust putting their customer numbers into the
hands of who-knows-what.

Level-3 Communications can provide this service, however be prepared
for the customary $10K - $50K monthly service minimum. Gotta pay to
play.
Then again there is DIDX, which can probably provide the DIDs you
want, but don't expect reliability or good support.
