Flavio,

Yes, I noticed my mistake and promptly posted that you could read the
first three chapters free online.

The first three chapters were well written and followed a logical
progression. I agree, it is for beginners and maybe a little heavy on
screenshots during the Linux installation and large text size.

Anyways, for a beginner, this is probably a great resource.

I still think an E-Book should not cost $50 unless you are revealing
some sort of secret information that cannot be found elsewhere. You
have no printing or distribution costs, pass that along to the buyer.
Maybe you could have sold 1,000 at $19.99 and doubled your profit.
Obviously, setting the price is your business but for $20 I might have
made a purchase, at $50, no way.

Thanks,
Steve Totaro

Steve,

You can download the first three chapters for free at
www.asteriskguide.com <http://www.asteriskguide.com/> . You are right,
English is not my first language, but the book was reviewed by other
people. The descriptions were written after the revision. The book is
for beginners and intermediate users, it is not meant to advanced users.
The entire book was uploaded to Amazon to enable the "Search Inside"
feature, but it takes 3 to 5 weeks to get ready. More than two hundred
e-Books were sold since January and I have received very few complains
about them, just some minor mistakes with orthography, already
corrected. Anyway, I will improve the descriptions as soon as possible.

Thank you for your feedback,

Flavio E. Goncalves

A link to the page on Amazon would help. Also, $50 is kind of expensive
for an E-Book. Maybe if you had some excerpts, table of contents, and
index or something more to go on, it might help justify the purchase.

The description was obviously written by someone who speaks English as a
second language. "The difference found in our book is that we have
created a self-learning material. It has a sequence, objectives, linking
and is practical, full of examples." While comprehendible, it can be
distracting and annoying. Is the book the same?

Thanks,
Steve Totaro
