I meant countries, not companies I also forgot to mention there are some cultural differences, ireland for example the average person on the street thinks its a 'scam' to use gprs to send an sms via a webpage (where carriers give you free TXTs each month) simply because you are sending the message cheaper (the bits required for a web sms is less than the cost of sending a normal sms with most carriers there). As a result they think its criminal and somehow illegal to do this, only because the carrier isnt getting the full charge they demand to send a text. That is quite silly but its a cultural thing. Similar cultural issues probably also influence VoIP adoption - not for the same reasons, but because the culture is 'do X then Y then Z' those indoctrinated into that mindset are likely to not want to change it easily. -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you! _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz
