I have setup many Cisco 7940 and 7960s with asterisk and they work well. But to my knowledge they wont talk gsm. Have always set them up ulaw. And you have to find the SIP software for them. And its like pulling teeth unless you know someone Cisco certified and can get them to download the sip software for them.
I have an old version somewhere. :) Kyle C F wrote: > Cisco phones work with asterisk but in my experience aastra and > polycom as well as linksys and snom work better. > > On 8/18/07, Seysan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> Hi All, >> >> Can Cisco IP Phones be used with Asterisk? >> If yes, are they better than aastra and Polycom ? >> >> Is there any preferred model ? >> >> Thanks to all >> S >> >> > > _______________________________________________ > --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- > > asterisk-biz mailing list > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz > > > _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz
