Bob, Many random rebooting problems encountered with the 'newer' Polycom handsets are a result of outdated configuration files on the provisioning side. Old configs can lead to unexpected results. I'd check there first.
If you're using completely modern config files on your provisioning (tftp/ftp/http) server, then you might have to begin to elevate debug logging, capture the crashes and escalate them to polycom via your Polycom Authorized Reseller. -Darren -- Darren Nickerson Senior Sales & Support Engineer Telephony Depot www.telephonydepot.com +1.215.825.8710 ext 8106 (office) +1.215.243.8335 (fax) ----- Original Message ----- From: bob murphy To: Commercial and Business-Oriented Asterisk Discussion Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2008 9:56 AM Subject: [asterisk-biz] (((Polycom Reboot))) We have two larger deployments (150 extensions and 400 respectively) and Polycom IP550 and IP430 are rebooting intermittently. Very strange. Anyone ever see this? It's not all the phones just random groups of them. The only other common element is HP procurve LAN switches.
