Agreed. I've held one job that could be described more or less as a full-time Asterisk job, and several others that bear tangential relation. In every case, without exception, what was really needed was a VoIP expert, not just an Asterisk expert. Someone that could integrate VoIP systems and negotiate interop issues with these other platforms, as well as legacy equipment.
