You are probably aware that ptime is defined as a hint and not as a mandate in the standards. If the other (non-Asterisk) end-point can't cope up with the hint not being honored, then it is really that end-point's problem. Nevertheless, it'll be helpful if a bug was posted on this on the bug tracker so people can take a look at this.
