It's nothing personal, Sam. I'm just following my system logs. And, I agree, there are plenty of other places that generate hack attempts and spam whose stats are far more impressive, but I can't really block them for business reasons. In contrast, I have no need whatsoever to do any business with anyone in SE Asia and zero interest in marketing anything there, so it's a worthwhile trade-off. Also, my blocking reflects *my* statistics, which may be skewed and highly deviant from the aggregate. Blocking the PRC cut down my spam about 60% and my hacking attempts ~85%. -- Alex Balashov Evariste Systems Web : http://www.evaristesys.com/ Tel : (+1) (678) 954-0670 Direct : (+1) (678) 954-0671 Mobile : (+1) (706) 338-8599 _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- AstriCon 2008 - September 22 - 25 Phoenix, Arizona Register Now: http://www.astricon.net asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- AstriCon 2008 - September 22 - 25 Phoenix, Arizona Register Now: http://www.astricon.net asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz
