As I have already advised in an earlier post, Vestec does offer a $25
starter kit for its speech recognition engine from its own webstore.
We are a partner of Digium but are also an an independent software
company that supports all major contact center and soft-PBX platforms
for its speech engine. And so $25 ASR starter kit is an excellent means
for potential customers to try out our speech recognition engine at low
cost.
In due time, ASR 2.1 - including its starter kit version - will become
available from Digium store. As of now, we have not released the latest
ASR software to Digium as their web store does not allow us to charge
annual software maintenance (covering patches and upgrades), a standard
practice in the speech industry.
