Hey All, I remember back in 2001 when Mark Spencer hired me at Digium, he asked me, "Isn't it cool that you actually get paid to work on open source software?" Back then, it was a lot harder to find employment doing open source software development but I still marvel that 16 years down the road I'm still able to do so and that I get to invite someone else to as well.
There is an open position on Digium's Asterisk development team for an Asterisk Developer. This is primarily a C and Python development position in which you get the opportunity to work on the engine that drives a large portion of the open source telephony world. You get to make an impact on a codebase that is used by thousands of people all over the world. How awesome of that?
