to be honest, neither have i. HEAD works great (so far !) on 4.x, but i really dont know what would be in HEAD which isnt in 1.2 or vice versa. from what i understand, bug fixes would make their way into 1.2, but not new features. i moved to HEAD from the ports (1.0.9) due to the need for attended transfer and the new (to 1.0.x) additions to features.conf.
