additionally, what's the purpose of t4_generate_description() in the 4.x freebsd wct4xxp driver ? it's called from __t4_do_counters and __t4_check_alarms, both of which are called from t4_interrupt(). as such, there could be times where this could be called twice during an interrupt cycle.

would it be safe to #ifdef 0 this bit of code out, if at least to save on interrupt processing time ?
