Hi. I'm very interested in any g729 transcoding (voicemail, ivr) solution for freebsd 6.2-STABLE and asterisk 1.4. There don't currently seem to be builds of the digium codec for freebsd and asterisk 1.4, and even the 1.2 builds don't work with GCC4-compiled freebsd (it seems).
I need maybe 50-100 lines, if licensed. The only other thing I can think of doing is running a linux box or hardware as an offboard transcoder, and passing calls to/from it when needed (or offloading ivr/voicemail to that box).
