Please forgive the vagueness of this problem. If anyone may have an insight, but needs more information, let me know what this information is and how to get it. I'll gladly post what I can.
I have been running Asterisk 1.4.17 on FreeBSD 6.3. The system is a Dual 1.4 GHz Compaq DL360 (Intel Xeon) server, with a 4 port analog card and a single FXO module installed. Zaptel is 1.4.6 After about 14-17 days of usage, I notice a slightly elevated load average. It gets up to about .20 when it normally sits around 0.01 Once the load average has gone up, I know that the system will crash in the next day or two. It usually panics when a MeetMe conference is closed, and says nothing in the log files about this (I have figured it out by trial and error). The machine automatically reboots, and gets back to normal again (as long as the watchdog figures it out). The amount of uptime seems inversely proportional to the amount of MeetMe usage. I have another identical installation that is currently at 60 days of uptime, with no issues. This machine also handles calls, but no MeetMe. The second machine has the same hardware and software. If I do a lot of conferencing on the second machine, it crashes in the same manner. Any suggestions? What further steps could I take to narrow the problem down more so that somebody with programming skills (not me) could make short work of this?
