Folks I hate to play English teacher here, and worse, I don't have anything to say about the content of the poster's question.

But the word is "deprecated" not "depreciated."

deprecate:  To express disapproval of; deplore.
depreciate:  To lessen the price or value of.

This error seems to pop up a lot on this list. I hope I'm not out of line by sending along this bit of minutiae.
