Make it optional. Problem solved. Don't send the per-channel timestamps at
the end and it uses the trunk's timestamp. Send it at the end and the code
simply copies each channel's timestamp over top of the "default" trunk
timestamp the channel got when it was being demultiplexed.

Yes, that's what I implemented already. It's gathering dust in mantis, along with the jitterbuffer and PLC..
