Who bashed anyone? Just because the answer is not clear does not make
this a -dev question: the mailing list page clearly states that this
list is for discussion of the Asterisk/Zaptel/etc. _code_, not scripts
or configuration files or anything else.
In fact, every day there are lots of questions on -users without clear
answers, but that in no way makes them -dev questions.

to Asterisk. Both lists potentially have twenty to fifty e-mails in a single
business day, and a single digest version is available.
I don't see any reference to 'code'!
