If you're adding manager events to Asterisk, this is important
information for you:
In the old days, we added manager events for events that signalled a
starting state and an end state with different event
names, like OejStart and OejEnd.
For new events, this is no longer accepted. Instead, we use *one*
event name with a status flag that signals the
state, like
Event: oej
State: Asleep
Event: oej
State: Awake
This is documented in the coding guidelines. The event name should
not signal any state. To keep backwards
compatibility, the old events stay as is. At some point, we will
change manager version (signalled at login) and
start cleaning up. Please make your application aware of manager
version.
