Back in October of last year, I asked if there was a formal license for the Asterisk sounds [1] and Kevin responded in the negative[2]. I've been working on getting Asterisk packaged for inclusion in Fedora[3]. However, Asterisk isn't much use without the default set of sounds so getting the sounds packaged in Fedora is key. Fedora has a fairly strict policy regarding licensing, so I don't think that Kevin's statement[2] will suffice. Is there any chance that a license for the sounds will be developed soon?
