Thanks for the advice. I was able to partially follow it. Here are my
results.. Does this help any?

uname -r results in 2.6.18-8.1.8.e15-i686
using X100P

Tried ./live_zap, unload, load - but couldn't tell whether the 1.4.7.1 zap was
replaced with 1.4.8; and problem didn't show up.
Reviewed your webpage but still wasn't sure hot to tell if I was using 1.4.8
ver. Don't think there was a need to adjust modules since live_zap reported
the correct card.

Fxotune -i comes back with an error, unable to set impedance on fd4, failure
for /dev/zap1; unable to tune even though device exists,
This error is also present in 1.4.7.1 but that doesn't stop 1.4.7.1 from
working.
ztcfg appears to report the presence of wildcard ok, ran genzaptelconf each
time after install.

What type of trace would you feel is appropriate? Sip?> Date: Wed, 16 Jan 2008

You can try to use the script zap_auto (included with 1.4.8) to> temporarily
test 1.4.8 without actually installing it.> > -- > Tzafrir Cohen> icq#16849755
