Get the latest version of the gui from reading this:

http://asteriskNOW.org/install-related

Then make and make install that.

You will now have zapscan, run through the setup wizard once again, and 
it should detect the card.

(assuming its a zaptel card and linked in with zaptel (/dev/zap/ctl))
