Bob, Having it as something you could hear is technically possible, but not going to happen. It would require a java or flash based soft phone that would register to your asterisk box and make the call. And that would be too much overhead for such a feature and against the philosophies of the GUI. Now as for a 'Dial Tone Detected' message, we might could work out something near that. I'll ask around for implementation ideas and get back with you if any look promising.
