Hello,

I'm currently trying to get 1 linkset betwen asterisk-ss7 and an Ericsson switch to work correctly.

The setup is

2 E1
2 signalling links, 1 on each E1, on the first channel of each E1
60 CICs, 30 on each E1

Here is my zapata.conf:

[channels]
language=en
context=FROM-LUX
echocancel=no
echocancelwhenbridged=no
rxgain=0.0
txgain=0.0
faxdetect=incoming
signalling = ss7
ss7type = itu
linkset = 1
pointcode = 6
adjpointcode = 2
defaultdpc = 2
cicbeginswith = 1
networkindicator=national_spare
sigchan = 1
sigchan = 32
group=1
channel = 2-31
group=2
channel = 33-62

However the Ericsson switch reports:

3-6          TOLUX   00    ACTIVE
                      01    RESTORING           109

I'm not sure what this output means, but what is the output of running
ss7linktest on the line? Also, could you post your zaptel.conf?

Matthew Fredrickson

109 means incorrect test message (Q.703)

I didn't know how to tell ss7linktest to use NI of national_spare, so here is the output of ss7linktest on SLC 0, first E1, channel 1:
