Matthew,
In reference to issue 1 here, mapping call-types to their nature of
addresses might be something worth looking into. I know sometimes the
asterisk dial plan will include digit analysis up front to determine a
route, and I know what this would require is another digit analysis
before building an IAM. This process would be essential though if
libss7 were eventually to be able to do remote database queries, or
SCCP/TCAP. Remote database translations on a called party number, for
the phone number owning carrier.
Actually, it wouldn't be hard at all. Most of the groundwork code is
in chan_zap w/ libpri specifying type of number (IIRC), so it might
just be an extension to the libss7 portion of chan_zap so that it uses
those facilities (nationalprefix, internationalprefix, and so on).

Hi All,
libss7 r67, asterisk r59236, two questions:
1) The operator I'm connecting to, reports that libss7 is sending

there a
simple way to set this?
Mmmmm..... not right now. It wouldn't be too hard to add an option for
this though.
2) Same operator is using one C7, but two E1s, one with the C7 on one
of its
timeslots, the other routing through a different STP, with no C7-can
this
configuration be supported by libss7 yet? The second set restarts CIC
numbering from 1.
I would assume that means that there would be a new DPC for the new CIC
grouping. I think Daniel Bichara has a patch that he's trying to get
to me that will allow you to do that.
