Yes it is as good as it sounds..

but..

H.323 is not buit into *, its an addon, so if you want an easy setup use MSN messenger 
4.6 or 4.7(NOT ver 5+) on your PC's, Messenger uses SIP (instead of H.323) and SIP 
support is built into * ..
