Here is more info. I have tested ATA186 and xten client with the SAME network and it works.
BUt when I took the diff. approach as below I see the remote client is registering on the Asterisk Gateway box which is running a Firewall too. I did open the port 5060 on the firewall.
192.168.100.x | | 192.168.100.1 (asterisk Gateway/Firewall) | public IP | INTERNET | |public IP (Linksys box, just NAT) No firewall! | 192.168.200.1 | ATA adater in 192.168.200.x
It give me the info as mentioned below!!! It is registerin>Name/username Host Mask Port Status

You haven't quite supplied enough data to solve this problem.
Have you successfully used your ATA-186 on Asterisk when they're on the same network segment (no firewall)? Is your firewall a NAT? It appears that there is a NAT at both ends of this session. That probably won't work, if that's what your diagram means. Or does your Asterisk server have two NICs in it?

Well, I think I'm getting closer with the asterisk connection. This is my setup and I keep getting this error below in ,my /var/log/asterisk/messages file. I have opened 5060 port on the firewall box.
I would this is Warning which I can ignore! But I see the connetcion coming but NO DIAL TONE on mt ata186 box sitting in my 192.168.200.x site!
I'm using ATA186(cisco adapter) at my 192.168.200.x site Xten soft sip cient in 192.168.100.x site ASTERISK running on my GW towards the 192.168.100.x site.
192.168.100.x |(asterisk GW)| public IP ----- INTERNET ------ public IP | 192.168.200.x

My ata186 box is registering to my asterisk server. When I so a "sip show peers", it shows
