This all depends on the NAT boxes that you use. The SIP phone. Whether the call is going out from or into the SIP phone. Whether the SIP phone is registered with Asterisk ot just making a call to it. Etc.
The SIP phone(s) and Asterisk server are on private IP addresses. The NAT boxes (e.g. adsl router) have a public IP address. Any requirements for the NAT boxes like being a SIP proxy?
Some brands of router will handle this virtually transparently especially if you register with the Asterisk calls and all conversations are directly with it.
