Download gastman from CVS. If you look at the gastman.c file, it sort of spells out how to get info to and from Asterisk. Very neat interface. It's graphics aren't reliable on my installation but the IP conversations are robust. I would suggest modeling your application's PBX communication after gastman. Good luck!

Screen pops Iin Windows) usually rely on the Microsoft TAPI system. Asterisk doesn't talk to TAPI as far as I know. I am trying to write a VB interface to the management system on Asterisk but the going is slow. We looked at TeleVantage and the cost for 30 agents and full reporting was outraegous. The features are excellent and support is good but we couldn't justify the 50k. We are having the queue app changed for our needs by Digium and will save a bundle. It will allow for remote agents to login and recieve calls from home. Check back often to see the progress on the new queue app. Asterisk scales to many PBX servers and they can all talk to each other and store call info on the same database. information on whether this can currently be done with Asterisk and if
so, how it would be accomplished?

If anyone could give some information about this it would be greatly
appreciated.
