directory)
  == RTP Allocating from port range 5000 -> 31000
    -- Reloading module 'cdr_mysql.so' (MySQL CDR Backend)
  == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/modem.conf': Found
  == Loading modem driver chan_modem_aopen.so

So in modem.conf I commented out:

; Modem Drivers to load
;driver=aopen

Seems to work fine now!
