Ed can I ask you a question, Not trying to influence you one way or the other but why deal with the 'issues' of speech recognition when what you are looking to achieve is easily met with dtmf codes.
Believe me... If I can sell your point of view to my client, I won't be doing speech. Unfortunately more IVRs are taking speech and my clients want it for a selling point. "We do speech recognition - the competition doesn't."
