Well as I said * supports MESSAGE requests so just use your phones as usual. If the phones support it, and they are both IM'ing using the same SIP methods then thats all that matters. Watch out though, some SIP based IM clients actually use more complicated protocols built on top of SIP and * doesn't support these yet.
