Easily doable. I've done it twice now. Problem is that your users will never know they have messages waiting.

Install a T1/E1 card into the * box and then use a T1 cross-over cable between the 2 boxes.

Create a dialplan on the Meridian that points calls to the VM out over the new E1.

As for forwarding the calls when busy or no answer, that's a little more tricky. You'll have to come up with some rules and numbers to allow the Meridian to decide what to do with those calls.

In my case I wrote a forward on no answer and a forward on busy rule for every phone that needed VM. When you called ext 200 the call was sent to mailbox 2200 on the *.

Users will have to get into the habit of calling the VM to check if there's messages.
