Look at the examples you find at www.onsip.org, they are really well
explained.
log every step taken with something like log(2,"now I'm doing
record_route\n"), and particularly the nat tests, maybe some nat test
fails (that was my problem, and I needed to tweak the tests).
I haven't used rtpproxy, I've used mediaproxy, it has a nice verbosity
on what it's done and what route are taking the proxied rtp packets, I
debbugged it out without the need for ethereal.
If you are in a hurry, and bandwidth is not a problem, start proxying
every call, and then tweak the rules to route correctly the "unnatted
calls".
With mediaproxy routing all the calls is quite simple, my first working
configuration came out from simply uncommenting the nat tests from the
onsip example.
